EACH SEASONAL QUARTER
Tend your creative life with a gentle system that supports reflection, planning, and presence—without pressure or perfectionism.
Rooted in seasonal rhythms and your personal capacity, it helps you move through the months with clarity and care.
WHY I CREATED THIS RESOURCE
A Planner for Real Creative Lives
I created this planner because I wanted a weekly spread that I could use for all the parts of my life—but that kept creative practice at the centre overall. It makes space for the work that can too easily be sidelined, but is really the most meaningful.
The seasonal structure is key. Working in three-month arcs makes it easier to stay present and responsive. Instead of trying to hold a whole year at once, you get four natural resets—each one a chance to shift, reset, and begin again, keeping in mind natural cycles (your own and nature's).
This is also a container for deep tending. A place to pause each week, each month, each season—to check in, get clear, and come back to our deepest desires.
And while it offers a full framework, nothing is rigid. The tools are flexible, adaptable, and designed to move with your energy, your capacity, and your creative rhythms.
WHO’S IT FOR
The Seasonal Creator Workbook & Planner might be for you if…
-
You want a planner that honours your creative life, not just your errands, deadlines, and dental appointments.
-
You’re tired of systems that treat you like a machine—this time, you want structure that actually cares how you’re doing.
-
You crave clarity—not the rigid kind, but the kind that comes from reflection, rhythm, and right-sized planning.
-
You’re looking for a way to stay connected to your practice without burning out, checking boxes for the sake of it, or setting yourself up to “fail.”
-
You like the idea of planning, but not under pressure. Gentle frameworks? Yes. Productivity spreadsheets? No, thank you.
-
You want to tend your creative work consistently—but with flexibility, because you’re a human with your own natural cycles.
-
Traditional planners never quite fit. You want something that makes space for creative cycles, shifting energy—and the occasional nap.
-
You’re drawn to anti-hustle, anti-perfectionist, liberatory approaches to creativity—and you want your tools to reflect those values too.
-
You’re ready to show up for your creative life—not just when inspiration strikes, but in small, steady, meaningful ways all season long.
WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE/HOW IT WORKS
A thoughtfully crafted, 142-page physical workbook-planner
Printed on 70# white paper with black ink (no bleed-through), with black wire-o binding and finished with a natural kraft cover. It’s a simple design—elegant and unfussy, easy to write in, and sized just right at 8.5" high x 7.5" wide.
This is a quarterly, pre-ordered item. Pre-orders help ensure I’ve got enough copies on hand since they’re printed in small batches.
WHAT’S INSIDE
This planner blends gentle structure with deep reflection, supporting your creative practice through one full seasonal quarter. It includes a full workbook and three months of undated spreads—designed to meet you where you are.
The planner is grounded in a liberatory approach to creativity—which means it resists the pressure to treat creative work like constant output or labour. Instead of replicating the conditions (and burnout) of productivity culture, it invites you into a gentler, more meaningful relationship with your practice.
ORIENTATION
Begin by grounding yourself in the four guiding frameworks:
A Relational Approach to Creative Practice – Step away from productivity culture and into a more compassionate, process-centred relationship with your creative self.
Cultivations, Not Goals – Set intentions that allow for curiosity, flexibility, and change—rather than rigid expectations.
The Five Areas of Creative Practice – Fill the Well, Steward, Create, Share, and Connect—five interconnected areas to help you nurture a holistic practice.
The Three Creative Practice Habits – Simple, sustainable habits that help you stay gently connected to your creative life.
WORKBOOK
Reflection and intention-setting tools to help you shape your creative season.
Review the Season – Reflect on how your energy moved, what took root, and what’s ready to be composted.
Clarify Your Focus – Identify your current creative growth phase, unload your ideas, and start sorting them into what’s ready to grow.
Name Your Cultivations – Choose 1–3 seasonal intentions to support how you want to feel and engage with your practice.
Determine Core Activities – Define the rituals and actions that support your creative life across the Five Areas.
Envision Your Season – Reflect on your rhythms, capacity, and boundaries—and shape your creative North Star.
Set Tending Levels + Pause Mode – Choose your preferred pace of practice and prepare for lower-capacity stretches with intention.
PLANNER
Three months of undated spreads to support your creative life week by week.
Monthly Overviews – Use these to give you a sense of each month at a glance, with room to add notes.
Weekly Spreads – Track your daily 15s, set triorities, and map out gentle tasks or intentions—plus keep track of the rest of your life too!
Notes on Practice – Record what’s filling your creative well, notes & ideas, and what’s sparking curiosity.
Weekly Reviews – Reflect on what went well, what didn’t go so well, and how you’re doing personally—body, mind, and spirit.
Monthly Reviews + Resets – Revisit your cultivations, see what’s shifting, and reset your intentions for the month ahead.
Blank Note Pages – Extra space for sketches, lists, project ideas, or whatever else you need.
WHEN TO BEGIN
The planner is designed for a single seasonal quarter: Spring (April–June), Summer (July–September), Autumn (October–December), or Winter (January–March).
Each edition is undated, so you can begin where you are—but it’s especially powerful to start close to the beginning of a new quarter, when the energy of a fresh start is most palpable.
To ensure your copy arrives in time, pre-order before the upcoming season begins.
A NOTE
How The Planner Differs From The Almanac
For those familiar with The Seasonal Creator Almanac, The Seasonal Creator Workbook & Planner offers a complementary but distinct approach.
The Almanac offers a wide-angle view—seasonal themes, intention-setting, and reflection over the course of a full year.
The Planner offers a closer view—practical, week-to-week support to help you show up for your creative practice through the changing days.
Used together, they provide a full-spectrum seasonal system: The Almanac helps you dream and reflect. The Planner helps you plan and tend.
