THIS AUTUMN

A soft, sturdy container for your creative practice—gently held, supported by connection and grounded guidance, with practical tools to help you grow.

No hustle. No grind.
Just steady tending.

THE WHY

At the Root of it All

Life is full, energy is unpredictable, and the world doesn’t make it easy to prioritize art.

And then there’s the inner noise—self-doubt, perfectionism, that jerk voice saying, “You should be further along by now.”

But these aren’t personal failings. They’re shared struggles, shaped by systems that devalue rest, creativity, and care—especially for those of us who are marginalized because of our lived identities.

The Tending Sessions offer a season-long space with support, flexible structure, and gentle nudges to help you keep going—without falling into hustle culture.

Because creativity isn’t just about getting things done. It’s about being in a nourishing, compassionate relationship with your practice and yourself.

That’s the heart of this offering—making space for creativity that feels humane, sustainable, and truly yours.

WHO’S IT FOR

The Tending Sessions might be for you if…

You’re a woman or non-binary creator who wants momentum—without the pressure of productivity culture.

You create on your own, but don’t want to feel alone. You value shared support, resources, and experience.

You’d love creative witnessing—gentle, non-pressured support to keep you moving forward at your own pace.

You’re craving more consistency in your practice, but want it without guilt or self-recrimination.

You’re tried structure before, but it felt too rigid. This time, you want something flexible, sustainable, and compassionate.

You want a rhythm—not a to-do list—that honours your life, your body, and your capacity.

You’re drawn to seasonal rhythms that remind you rest and renewal are part of growth too.

You want your creativity to feel like being in a nourishing relationship, not just a means of producing.

You’re curious about anti-oppressive ways to show up, where the problem isn’t you needing to “try harder.”

HOW IT WORKS & WHAT YOU'LL RECEIVE

Seven two-hour group sessions · a one-hour one-on-one session · The Seasonal Creator Workbook & Planner · The Tending Sessions Booklet · weekly check-ins · office hours

Want to know what you’d be signing up for? Click each step to see how the season unfolds—because the deets matter before you commit.

  • Once you’re accepted, you’ll secure your spot and your copy of The Seasonal Creator Workbook & Planner will then be mailed to you right away, along with The Tending Sessions Booklet. You’ll also receive a welcome email with everything you need to know and do before we begin.

  • You’ll receive your copy of The Seasonal Creator Workbook & Planner in advance of our session. Inside you’ll find foundational shifts, supporting frameworks, and exercises to help you put the past season to bed and prepare the ground for what wants to grow next. Completing the exercises is essential before we meet—though there’s no need to do it perfectly. Think of it as a living document that will continue to evolve.

  • We begin with a Zoom gathering to orient ourselves—no perfect plans or put-together looks required. You’ll meet your fellow participants (a small group of up to eight) and we’ll move through Part 1 of The Seasonal Reset, sharing insights from your workbook exercises.

  • Within ten days of our first gathering, you’ll meet with me for a one-hour, one-on-one session on Zoom. This is Part 2 of The Seasonal Reset—a dedicated time to explore your projects and practice more deeply and receive personal guidance.

  • We gather on Zoom every second Monday from 6:30–8:30pm PT.

Each session is shaped by three questions—the heartbeat of our time together—which allow each participant to:

    • Share what you've been tending in your practice. (Think of this as a low-pressure check-in, not a scary status report.)

    • Offer something to the group that you've been thinking about, loving lately, or returning to.

    • Explore something together—be that a question, a stuck spot, something half-formed or tangled, or a piece of work.

The Tending Sessions booklet—a companion to your planner—will help you gather your thoughts and nourish our conversations when we meet.

  • This season also includes a special Sharing Session halfway through our time together. It offers a chance for each participant to share a piece of their creative work with the group. You might read an excerpt, show your art, offer a look at your studio, or speak to your process. Everyone will get about 15 minutes to shine.

  • The Three Core Practices provide a simple, flexible rhythm to support your growth between sessions. You’ll be invited to:

    • Connect with your creative self for at least 15 minutes most days—according to your capacity.

    • Choose three intentional, right-sized weekly small steps or activities to focus on.

    • Reset seasonally, reflect and plan regularly, and realign monthly.

  • Between gatherings, a private Facebook group hosts facilitated check-ins to help you stay connected to your practice and the group. (Yes, it’s Facebook. No, it’s not perfect. But for now, it’s our space—and yours to help shape.)

  • If you need extra support, you can book a 20-minute Office Hours session on Zoom with me. You’re welcome to use this time however you like—to get unstuck, ask questions, or simply feel more connected and encouraged. I urge everyone to take me up on it at least once per season!

NOTE

Sometimes what we need is more flexibility, fewer voices,
and a space that centres our own season.

If that’s true for you right now, you may prefer The Seasonal Reset & Tending Sessions for One—a spacious alternative to the group, on your own schedule, and fully attuned to you.

  • "Transformed everything."

“My non-creative life has always had a way of invading my creative work, leaving me wondering how I could still call myself a writer. I was so frustrated with myself, thinking I lacked discipline or willpower. But working with Jill, using the magic planner, and meeting with the group transformed everything. More importantly, with much humour and gentle nudges, Jill has helped me learn to be far kinder to myself when life interferes.”

    SONAL C.

  • “A wonderful structure.”

" As an interdisciplinary artist, it can be difficult to make space for all the hats I wear. Jill offers a scaffold that is both flexible and a tool for being accountable. It's been a wonderful structure for keeping myself on track."

    AMANDA W.

  • “Joy instead of stress.”

"It was transformative for me to give myself permission to reduce expectations and adjust goals to allow for joy instead of stress. Jill’s guidance helped me set manageable steps, which led to confidence in my art practice—and even to installing my first show in my community!"

    MEDWYN M.

  • “Without hustle or harm.”

Jill’s gentle way of nudging me into treating myself better has helped me create more—and more deeply—than ever before. If you want to create without hustle or harm, I highly recommend these sessions!
